Irigom’s aim is to play a key role in the solution of the environmental problems related with the waste disposal and the recycling of the end –of- life tyres.

The end-of-life tyres come from several industrial and handicraft manufacturing sites, civil and military ones, from recovering facilities. In particular, we work for the following producers:

• Tyre dealers and repairers / service stations;
• Tyre reconstruction and rubber processing industry;
• Industrial and truck companies, public and private, consortia and companies (brought under municipal ownership) collecting waste urban;
• Collecting and storage centres.

The collecting is performed for the greatest part in Apulia region and for a little part in other regions of the South of Italy.

The shredding is the mainly stage of the recovering activity and regards all the end-of-life tyres.

The shred obtained from the shredding and sifting stages can be sent, according its characteristics, either to the energy recovering in authorised cement factories or to the recovery and recycling of material.

The suited material for the energy recovering has particular properties: appropriate size, regular shape and dimensions.

We supply important national and international cement factories: they use as heating fossil carbon our shred obtained from end-of-life tyre, which has a high and costant calorific value.
